Job Description Summary

The Walker School of Business & Technology (WSBT) at Webster University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Digital Marketing Management courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong Consideration: Individuals with a Master’s degree in Marketing (including Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, and Integrated Marketing Communications) or MBA with either 18 Master’s-level credit hours in Marketing or a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing will be given strong consideration. Must also have at least five years of professional experience in the area of digital marketing with at least two years in digital marketing management. Preference will be given to individuals with at least five years of teaching graduate-level related marketing courses.

Preferential Consideration: Individuals who have obtained certification in Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, and/or Email Marketing are preferred.

Knowledge & Skills: Specifically seeking individuals with Digital Marketing industry related experience and ability to teach strategic marketing management in the following areas: SEO, Webpage Design and Optimization, Social Media, Marketing Analytics, Digital advertising, Video and Mobile Marketing. Must possess knowledge of industry-related software tools for SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email Marketing, and Digital Marketing Analytics and create an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of instructional methods which may include software simulation.

Preferred Qualifications

Highest Consideration: Terminal degree in Marketing, Advertising plus a Master’s degree in Management or Business, or Business/Management with either 9-hours of Doctorate level Marketing courses or a Master’s Degree in Marketing or related field. Related professional experience is not required but preferred especially in the area of digital marketing management. Preference will be given to individuals with at least three years of teaching graduate-level related marketing courses.

Essential Duties

Adjunct faculty in the WSBT are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom; however, WSBT standards of learning will be provided and expected. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Courses are conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. Course delivery modes are pre-established and you may not have a choice of mode; however, we do attempt to honor requests.
