Job Description Summary

The Department of Management at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, is recruiting adjunct faculty to teach Procurement Management Courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Academic: Master’s degree in procurement/contracting and/or supply chain management, or a master’s degree in business administration with procurement/contracting or supply chain management emphasis, or a closely related field is required. Instructors must demonstrate academic proficiency in one or more master’s-level courses related to the subject matter of the course and be able to teach all of the course syllabus topics.

Professional: Instructors with only a master’s degree must have at least five years of professional experience in fields related to the PROC program. Instructors with relevant doctoral degrees must have three years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Academic: Doctorate in business administration with a procurement/contracting or supply chain management emphasis, or closely related field is desirable. Professional experience in purchasing procurement/contracting or supply chain management also is preferred.

Professional: Five years of professional work experience directly related to the course. Professional certification is strongly preferred. Relevant certifications include: Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) from the National Contracts Management Association; Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management; Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from the APICS – Association for Supply Chain Management.

Physical Demands
Essential Duties

Adjunct faculty teach one to two courses per semester on-site or online. On-site graduate level courses typically meet one evening per week for nine weeks from 5:30pm-9:30pm.
