Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the collaborative design, development, and implementation of methods to collect and analyze data, set up and maintain accurate and efficient databases and electronic data, and collaborate with faculty and staff in the preparation of data reports in support of the School of Education’s assessment and accreditation goals. It also requires a great deal of data entry and data cleansing. Attention must be given to ongoing updates from state and national accrediting agencies.

This position supports and enhances the School of Education’s initiatives including consistency of academic program assessment, accreditation, strategic planning, and operations by working with school faculty and staff and under the supervision of the Director of Assessment and Accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 3 years experience.
Expertise with Jenzabar CX, TK20, Excel, Qualtrics or other database systems.
Ability to research, analyze, and present data clearly and concisely and without bias.
Skilled at data entry.
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively balance multiple projects at one time.
Ability to work collaborative, or independently, when necessary.
Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to respect and uphold confidential and sensitive issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree
Experience in a higher education setting.

Physical Demands

Within the range of a normal office environment.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for collaborating with the Director of Assessment and Accreditation, faculty, and appropriate staff in the design, development, and implementation of methods to collect and analyze data, and set up efficient databases and electronic data in collaboration with faculty and staff.
• Enter external assessment data from DESE, ETS, and Pearson into student records.
• Collect assessment data for all SOE assessed courses.
• Work with IT and within existing structures to produce and analyze data and reports to support faculty with new program development, curriculum maintenance, enrollment management, and accreditation reporting.
• Support the Director of Assessment and Accreditation in communicating with faculty and extended campus directors on assessment-related issues.
• Collaborate with the Director of Assessment and Accreditation as well as faculty and staff, where appropriate, in preparing annual data reports, including CAEP, DESE, and Title II reports in collaboration with faculty and staff.
• Work with the Director of Assessment and Accreditation and faculty to ensure that all program documentation is up to date and consistent.
• Serve with the Director of Accreditation and Assessment on the SOE Assessment Committee and University Assessment Committee.
• Act as SOE Unit Administrator for TK20.
• Maintain assessment data collection forms and run reports to obtain aggregated assessment data for various reporting requirements.
• Generate data reports upon request, including reports required by HLC and enrollment reports for distribution to faculty and staff.
• Collect data from DESE mandated external testing and provide aggregated and disaggregated reports on those data as needed.
• Conduct regular data-cleaning reports and analyses to ensure data accuracy.
