Academic Year 2017-2018 (January) or 2018-2019 (August)

This is a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary will be competitive with other private schools having regional accreditation in the Midwest.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a wide range of cybersecurity courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. This position carries a teaching load of six courses per calendar year. Candidates must be able to communicate complex concepts to a diverse student population, and be committed to quality teaching, scholarship, and service in a global university.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline with experience in cybersecurity or information security.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching at the college level is preferred.

Physical Demands
Essential Duties

Specific teaching expectations include but are not limited to:
1. Emphasizing the application of cybersecurity theory in real-world applications
2. Cybersecurity communications
3. Critical infrastructures
4. Encryption/decryption
5. Intelligence/counter-intelligence
6. Threat detection
7. Protection of space assets
8. Cloud computing

Other Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to
a) Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level
b) Teach day classes, evening classes, and online classes
c) Advise students
d) Assist with curriculum development
e) Assist academic program assessment
f) Participate in appropriate professional development (Boyer Model)
g) Maintain competence in the field by staying current with new and emerging theory, applications and pedagogy
h) Serve on department, school, and university committees
i) Perform administrative tasks as needed
