Rank, Term, and Salary: This is a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Salary competitive with private AACSB-accredited institutions in the Midwest.

The George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology is the largest academic unit at Webster University with a total enrollment of over 9,000 students and 1,500 faculty worldwide. The School has three departments: Business, Management, and Math & Computer Science. The George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology is also responsible for academic oversight of business programs offered at over 50 extended campuses in the U.S. and international locations in the UK, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, China, Ghana, Greece, and Thailand. The Walker School of Business & Technology also offers the Doctorate of Management Degree. Programs in the Walker Business School received ACBSP accreditation in 2008.

Minimum Qualifications

1) Doctorate in Health Administration, or Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Administration
2) A teaching background and/or healthcare management experience is required

Preferred Qualifications

1) Experience in a CAHME-accredited program is preferred

Physical Demands
Essential Duties

Teaching Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in Health Administration in the graduate MHA program. A candidate should be qualified to teach courses in at least two of the major subfields such as: Health Policy, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Law, or Healthcare Finance. A teaching background and/or healthcare management experience is required. The teaching load will be six courses per academic year.

Other Responsibilities: Teaching is the primary focus of this position, but the person chosen will be expected to provide departmental services such as advising, evaluation of adjunct faculty, and curriculum development. Other responsibilities include research and University service.
